NEW LIGHT brings together a wonderful mix of artists and makers, each bringing their own interpretation of light, colour, landscape, form and movement through painting, ceramics, woodwork and jewellery.
Anna Hamilton’s jewellery is driven by a love of colour, design and the excitement of turning an idea into something tangible. Her multi-gemstone pieces combine turquoise, rose quartz, coral, lapis lazuli, citrine, onyx, lampwork glass, wood, pearls and sterling silver, creating vibrant jewellery designed to be worn and enjoyed.
Vicki Comrie-Moore has been immersed in clay and sculpture from a young age. Her passion was sparked early on when she took a class with two established potters in Wellington — an experience that set her creative journey in motion.

"I love design and being creative. I love ideas and the fizz of them becoming reality, whether in precious metals, gemstones, paint, spaces or technology.
To me my whole life is creative – whether it’s painting, designing a piece of jewellery, building a house, designing/landscaping a garden, or designing/developing a website!
With a 25-year career as a full-time artist working across several mediums, this artist has exhibited widely throughout Aotearoa New Zealand, with many of her works now held in private collections both nationally and internationally. Over the past seven years, she has focused her creative energy on copper - using a bold palette of colour achieved through a unique oxidation process involving a variety of ingredients. Each piece is entirely one-of-a-kind, offering a contemporary and highly expressive result.
Meet Rina Ward, the jewellery artist or Nostalgem who breathes new life into discarded treasures from the sea. In her enchanting creations, she uncovers the hidden beauty of worn-out and forgotten elements, transforming them into wondrous jewellery.
