Originality
Artworks submitted to Little Black Gallery should be the result of the artist’s own creative vision, skill and creative process.
AI tools may be used as part of exploration, research or development, however the final artwork should demonstrate significant human creativity, interpretation and craftsmanship.
AI Usage
Artists are welcome to use AI tools to support parts of their creative process, including idea development, experimentation or reference material.
Purely AI-generated artworks, where there has been little or no meaningful human creative input, are not accepted unless this forms part of a specific exhibition or project.
Copyright and Intellectual Property
Artists are responsible for ensuring their work is original and does not infringe copyright or intellectual property rights.
Where AI tools are used, artists should take care that the final artwork does not closely replicate existing artworks, styles or protected material.
Transparency
If AI has played a significant role in creating the final artwork, this should be disclosed so we can maintain transparency and trust with collectors and the wider community.
Review Process
As with all submissions, Little Black Gallery reserves the right to review artworks to ensure they align with our values and curatorial approach.
